On death and decay

Post by Nugget and Skull on Wed Apr 23, 2014 1:30 am

Sometimes, even in our highest and most proud moments, we fall to great depths of defeat in which we may never return. Ultimately we live for very little and have a negligible impact on an uncaring world where nothing will be handed to you and the only freedom is through death. Even in that freedom, we must suffer the final and possibly worst defeat: realizing that we are alone in our final hours. As we pass away to leave a rotting corpse, our struggles, our beliefs, our actions mean little. We are as we always have been, perhaps even less so at our final moment. It is strange to think that, for all our deeds and proclaimed victories, ultimately everything we have ever done will be lost to time, outdone, and forgotten. Even the mightiest of deeds will be lost and the greatest of heroes forgotten to time. It is to us I raise this glass as it is pointless to do so as well as not to do so. We die alone so we may as well embrace what little 'freedom' we have before the end crashes down upon us and we must leave this world behind.

Ok, so these screenshots are not new. In fact, they're at least two years old. That being said, I stumbled across them again so I thought I'd share. All the time spent lining everything up, timing the emitter, and it then getting different angles for the choke scene only for both screenshot sets to come out 'meh' at best.

Wonderful grammar as usual. The pictures though- that last one. God does it look amazing...did you make them? I have the inexplicable urge to Photoshop that last image to make it even more terrifying! But I won't- not without your consent!

I made them back in 2012. They're part of what I call the 'I never actually named them' series. The last one is my absolute favorite of the whole bunch.
