[CLOSED] Going inactive and/or quitting.
This thread is now closed.
As of today, my computer can no longer run Source engine games. Whenever I launch a Source engine game, my computer gets the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death) error, crashing my computer. From what research I have done, it appears it is most likely a problem one or both of my RAM sticks, possibly have gone bad. This is not proven, however. It is possible that it is not a problem with my RAM sticks at all, and perhaps just a simpler problem that is easier to fix. I have not yet tried playing non-Source games, I will do that in a little while and edit this thread.
EDIT: I ran an Unreal Engine game, and it also crashed my PC. I'm assuming many other games will do the same. I recently ran a hardware test, and everything being tested has passed except for the "Primary Surface Test" for my video card. Not sure what to do here at the moment.
EDIT: Yeah, a lot of drivers are available so I'm going to download them and see what happens.
EDIT: I downloaded the available graphics/video drivers and some other drivers, still crashing. Hm.

Do you have an integrated video card? (as in, one you can't remove), if so, it's your RAM for sure.
Just replace your RAM buddy, they're not THAT expensive.

I had the same problem with EP2 few years ago.
Do RAMCHECK64 (or 32, I don't remember) and defragmentize your hard drive*.
It helped me.
If that doesn't work, get new drivers for your video card.

Hmm... Interesting. I just recently started having G-Card issues with my PC. Started on Gmod where my screen went black. Still got sound through the TV. Then when I restarted my PC, I had those diffused lines, and when I logged into Windows, it went black screen again.
It works on occasion, but I'm now using the laptop that can't play jackshit!
