APPLICATION:

Steam Name: G-Man

Steam Profile Link: http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198068837976/

Steam ID: STEAM_0:0:54286124

1. How long have you been a part of Vortex Roleplay?
I have actually just joined Vortex Roleplay and due to the amount of people who play on your server, I'm quite curious to see if I'll like it myself!

2. What would you generalize to be your total playtime on Vortex?
Like I've stated on top, I have just joined Vortex Roleplay.

3. How long have you been roleplaying in general?
In general, I've been roleplaying for a long time, finding a fondness of roleplaying on Half-Life 2:RP servers.

4. Do you consider yourself to be efficient at roleplaying?
Yes, I consider myself to be efficient at roleplaying and I get better each day.

3. Why do you want to be a part of our Metropolice Force?
I feel as if the Metropolice Force is the best way to be part of every event that goes on in the server and I'm a very good at the Metropolice Force faction.

4. Have you read all of the Informative Guidelines?
These are the tips at the top of the application.
Yes, I've read all the Informative Guidelines.

5. What have you learned from the application guidelines?
Don't get into an argument, you're a unit, not a rebel, metropolice still have feelings, try to use well-thought out responses in order for my chance of being accepted to be higher, being brainwashed allows you to gain ranks quicker, respect your higher ranks, don't cheat through the application, respect the Vortex community, and a lot more information!

6. There are a total of ___ informative guidelines.
There are a total of 19 informative guidelines.

7. Did you read and study the Metropolice Force Guide?
Yes, I've read the Metropolice Force Guide and I'll refer to it whenever I forget something.

8. What does 10-4 mean?
10-4 means OK

9. What does 11-22a mean?
11-22a means Light Contraband (11-22b is Heavy Contraband)

10. List the weapons you'd be allowed to checkout at the following rank: 03, Second Tier.
The weapons you'd be allowed to checkout 03, Second Tier include:
- Basic USP Match 9mm Pistol
- MP7 Tactical Sub-Machine Gun
- M67 Advanced Smoke Grenade
- C89 Flash Grenade

11. Give an example of a moderate contraband item.
An example of moderate contraband includes basic weapons, resistance gear, and radios.

12. What is the level of crime for having possession of a moderate contraband item?
What would the punishment be for that level of crime?
The level of crime for having possession of a moderate contraband item is a Level Three Crime. The punishment for a Level Three Crime is 2 - 3 cycles in detainment (and they're issued 4 - 6 penalty points).

13. How does the standard breach and clear protocol work?
You have 4 people. The Breacher, 2 Pointmans, and a Team Leader (highest rank in the group). This is how it works:
The Team Leader calls out, "Stack.", "Prep", "Inject!", and the Breacher will shoot the door open. Pointman 2, standing behind Pointman 1, enters the room first, going right, while Pointman 1 enters the room after Pointman 2, going left. If a secondary breach is necessary, the Breacher will enter as well. In any case, after the room is clear, the pointmen will call the all clear. After that, the Team Leader entering is optional.

14. What districts/areas are you allowed to enter at all times?
You're allowed to enter Districts 1 - 5 at all times.

15. What districts/areas are you only allowed to enter under certain circumstances? List the circumstances for each area.
District Seven and Shell Beach (when opened for citizens only) and the Grizzly Grotto (when responding to calls only)

16. Which districts/areas are you never allowed to enter, period?
District Six and the Construction Zone

17. At what rank are you allowed to leave the nexus?
You're allowed to leave the Nexus at rank 05

18. What action do you take in the following situation:
You happen to be in the plaza, and an armed citizen is firing a pulse-rifle everywhere. Citizens are screaming, a few officers are down, and the situation isn't looking good.
First I'd radio in the following codes:
647A: Armed Citizen
10-99: Officer Down
11-49: Shooting
11-99: Officer Needs Help
12-345A: Requesting amputation permission for armed citizen (if of high enough rank)
After that, if I am an 02, I'll authorize a judgement waiver. If not, hopefully, another 02 will realize the situation that is going on with the assistance of my codes and authorize one. I will not ask an 02 to authorize it.
After the Judgement Waiver is in effect, I will take cover and either A. if I'm a high enough rank, I'll wait for my amputation permission to go through or B. Wait for a higher rank to amputate the citizen after granted permission. If in case A. I am granted permission, I'll amputate the citizen using the P2L policy.
After that, the Judgement Waiver should be put off by either me (if i'm 02 or higher) or by a higher rank.

19. Explain the ten step process of properly detaining someone. It's on the guide.
Do not copy and paste.
First, I'll locate the criminal and I'll walk towards them.
Second, I'll tell them to face the wall and if they do not, I may use my stunstick or call for backup.
Third, I'll tie them up (and of course ask them if they resist or not with LOOC)
Fourth, I'll ask them to apply and check their /viewdata (using /me takes out data pad, etc).
Fifth, if they're anti-citizen, I'll call for backup. If not...
Sixth, decide the punishment of the criminal according to the Metropolice Force Guide
Seventh, detain the criminal and stay with them during their detainment period.
Eighth, after the period, ask them to face the wall.
Ninth, stun them with the stun stick unconscious (using /me for the stun stick attack)
Tenth, carry them out of the Nexus, wait for them to regain consciousness, untie them, and you're done!

20. How does division ranking advancement work?
When you're promoted, you'll become a higher rank, but a lower number because the ranks are backwards starting with RCT, 05, 04, 03, 02, 01 and after 01, you'll be promoted to your favored division which include Union, Apex, Nomad, Stinger, Alpha, and Savage (which you can become at any third tier of any division, but Savage has no tiers or ranks).

21. At which rank are you allowed to authorize Judgement Waivers?
You're allowed to authorize Judgement Waivers at rank 02, Tier 2 or higher.

22. Which of the following situations would require a Judgement Waiver? Mark [Yes] or [No] next to each situation.

• A Metropolice Unit or City Administrator is murdered by a rogue unit or anti-citizen: Yes
• An anti-citizen fires a weapon anywhere within the city: Yes
• Unarmed Anti-Citizens are sighted or reported: No
• An uprising, or other form of rebel propaganda takes place: Yes
• A Metropolice Unit is assaulted WITHOUT a firearm: No

23. What rank are you allowed to use a pistol at?
You're allowed to use a pistol beginning at rank 04, Tier 1

24. What happens if you use a pistol before this rank?
If you use a pistol before that rank, you'll receive a blackmark.

25. Do you understand how to use our Advanced Viewdata?
Yes, I understand how to use the Advanced Viewdata ( it's so user friendly! )

26. What happens if you go rogue and get caught?
If you're caught, it'll result in a PK (permanent kill) and a whitelist removal.

27. Do you understand not to argue with other players?
Yes, I understand not to argue with other players.

28. What should you do if you find yourself in a disagreement with other players?
If I find myself in a disagreement with other players, I shouldn't start an argument, but however, find a peaceful solution or contact a staff member.

29. What are your past experiences in the Metropolice Force?
My past experiences with the Metropolice were pretty fun. The last server I was on, I was an 05 Judge. I would've continued in it, but the server is somehow broken so I went to look for another server. However, my past experiences in the Metropolice Force weren't as hard as the one I'll probably have here (but the way you made a Guide, I feel as if I'll have a great time on this server overall  Very Happy )

30. Why should we accept your application?
I think you should accept my application due to my experience in roleplay and because (due to Summer), I'll be VERY active as a Metropolice Force which will assist greatly in any events that Vortex Roleplay has!

31. Why should we accept your application over other player's applications?
I haven't viewed anyone else's player's applications, but I feel as if my answers are very descriptive and to the point so you can get the response you need without difficulties!

32. What happens if you do not stay in-character, or try to mess-around and simply void it afterwards?
I will be removed from the Metropolice Force whitelist (which I hope you know won't be a problem with me)

33. Do you tend to complain a lot?
No, I actually would love to find solutions to problems instead of complaining about it. Complaining about problems doesn't get anyone anywhere.

34. Do you have any close friends who play on the server, that could recommend you?
No, I actually do not. However, I hope that I'll be the name people put here because I have a couple of friends I can recommend to play on this server Very Happy

35. Can you passively roleplay, using detailed actions?
Yes, I can passively roleplay using detailed actions.

36. Do you have a basic knowledge and understanding of Half-Life 2 lore?
I have a basic knowledge and understanding of Half-Life 2 lore (however, I do not for Half-Life)

37. How active are you on the server?
Like I said in the first questions, this is my first time on this server, but like I said in another question, I'll be very active due to the long break.

38. How well can you follow instructions?
I follow orders very well, so as a lower rank, I'll do well.

39. Do you plan on being a loyal player?
Yes, I don't plan on going rogue. No fun staying in low ranks when there are so many divisions to explore.

- Give an example of your own personal passive roleplaying using the /me command.
Note: Give an example that represents the level of detail you use on average. For example, don't type a paragraph for walking across a floor unless you actually plan to use that amount of detail in game.

(Scenario is in the apartment lobby in the room with a coffee table and 3 couches.)

/me sits down on the dusty couch while staring at the never-changing television, occasionally looking out the window at the Metrocop patrolling the plaza.
