Regular MySQL backups.

If not already planned and going to be put into effect, Sheep should set the MySQL database to automatically backup every day or so. I have read this is very possible, and it has really saved people who have done it. It will also stop the server from having anymore close calls like this again. I have told like everyone in my family who cares about this stuff and they all said "The owner should be backing up the database every day or so anyway." Like I said, if not already planned, this should be put into effect when the server is back up again.

Even if we used sql backups, the resent attack wouldve still put us where we are currently. It was not just the MySQL that was deleted. Our ftp (holds all files for server, such as downloads) and our vps (virtual private servers, google it to learn more) was deleted as well, leaving us useless.
