KING is a very mysterious individual. He understands human nature, and despises it. Humanity is nothing to him but a plague that must be eliminated. He sees everyone not willing to join the Union by their own free will as worthless beings who are preventing progress. Rumors have it that he is in contact with the Combine themselves and are favored by them for his dedication and loyalty to his Combine leaders. He sees himself as the best of what mankind has to offer. All of this may seem delusional until you meet him. He is cold and has no remorse. He finds some sort of sick pleasure in watching peoples hope disappear in their eyes as he slays their loved ones in front of them... Only to let them back on the street to live a life not worth living. He scares most people he come into contact with, just from his sheer presence if they had known his story.
To him it's not about beating the resistance, or seeing blood. It's about watching humanity squeal. It's about watching a man deep in the eye as he strangles the mans wife in front of him with his bare hands, and then forcing the man to dissect her as he watches hope fade away in the mans soul.
CITY 18 Incident
Resistance leader codename DAGGER had become an obstruction of Union regulations and proved too much of a threat to the union reign in the city. UNION-02.42011 provided a solution in the form of an EMP to de-active DAGGER's augmentation in collaboration with APEX. UNION-02.42011 conducted extensive interrogations, physical and mental punishment sessions until eventually a resistance member jumped off a to her death to avoid getting caught. UNION-02.42011 was promoted to DvL of a new squad called VICE (Special in Criminology, Forensics and Investigations.)
KING got to the resistance arms dealer and tortured followed by amputation. This was crippling to the resistance at the next step where the entire slums were flooded with headcrab canisters until the resistance eventually ran out of ammunition. DURATION; 2 days and 11 hours.
EMP strike was succesful as VICE.DvL-42011 entered DAGGER's residence to the subject laying on the floor completely helpless. UNIT 42011, escorted by multiple OTA and an EOW made threats to DAGGER's wife and kneeled over DAGGER... *REDACTED*

Resistance leader named Bradley Roland Cooper CODENAME; Emerald, Cobalt took over resistance duties in form of moral and philosophical strength. He was unhappy with the resistance's ability to provide hope, food and shelter for the terrorized Citizens and refugees. VICE.DvL-42011 promoted to Commander KING dispatched to deal with Civil Unrest in Sector.
KING commandeered the Sector by authorization of the Advisors and tried to locate Bradley. Consistently evading and rapidly angering KING, KING follow Bradley and his resistance to City 8 where a suit was constructed. It was to harbor KING's consciousness, and to be worn by the resistance member in order to corrupt his mind. Mistakes were made and the suit made the resistance member able to predict KING's every move. Subject suffered extreme personality split, delusions and schizophrenic tendencies as the subjects brain tried to accomodate both psyches. A deal was in order to ensure *REDACTED*.
