1. How long have you been a part of Vortex Roleplay?

I have been playing for about a week regularly and actively on the server.



2. What would you generalize to be your total playtime on Vortex?

I have been playing on the actual server for what I believe is two days game time on my various characters that I have made throughout my time on the server



3. How long have you been roleplaying in general?

I have been roleplaying for almost what I believe to be three years seriously role playing before that however I have rp’d in my youth on games like ‘club penguin’ however this was before I truly understood about what ‘serious’ roleplay was about, For serious roleplaying I have played almost a year on serious HL2RP and the other two on various other games such as WoW and minecraft.



4. Do you consider yourself to be efficient at roleplaying?

I do indeed due to my previous experiences on various servers before this one, I find myself efficient and at least above average in both HL2RP and various other RP types.





3. Why do you want to be a part of our Metropolice Force?

For me, I want to try out what it means to be a Metropolitical Unit once again and play it seriously, I left my previous community due to the fact I believed it was dying due to OOC flame wars, I now come to Vortex Roleplay in hope that I will be able to live up to the standard of a MPF unit and to try out your interesting and intriguing division format, I also find myself to be more compatible with MPF roleplay than citizen.

What would the punishment be for that level of crime?

Level three crime, 2-3 cycles and 4-6 penalty points depending on the situation and the unit.



13. How does the standard breach and clear protocol work?

I shall divide this into the separate ‘roles’.

Breacher: Stands at the door, Awaiting the breaching command (Does not enter unless needed for a secondary breach)

Team Leader: Calls all the commands e.g stack, prep etc. It is optional after the room is cleared whether or not he enters the room after it has been cleared.

Pointsman/Woman: After the room is breached pointsman will enter the room one taking the left flank and the other the left when the room is clear they call the all clear.





14. What districts/areas are you allowed to enter at all times?

1-5 and the NEXUS as they are classed as the regular patrol routes.



15. What districts/areas are you only allowed to enter under certain circumstances? List the circumstances for each area.

District Seven / Shell Beach: Only allowed when it's opened for citizens.
Grizzly Grotto: Only Allowed when responding to calls.

17. At what rank are you allowed to leave the nexus?

05 is the rank you are fully accepted as part of the UMA and as such are allowed to leave the NEXUS



18. What action do you take in the following situation:
You happen to be in the plaza, and an armed citizen is firing a pulse-rifle everywhere. Citizens are screaming,
a few officers are down, and the situation isn't looking good.

I proceed to radio it in detailing the situation before awaiting to recieve orders, Upon receiving them I would follow them out efficient and quickly in order to put an end to the citizen as well as detailing the other units about the situation so that they may be prepared for it. If there was not enough time or he was shooting I would proceed to fire at the gunman in hopes of disabling him or killing him preferable the first option so we can find out why he was doing, what he was doing and perhaps make him of use to the union in some other way ‘Stalkerisation’ or ‘Transhumanization’ .



19. Explain the ten step process of properly detaining someone. It's on the guide.
Do not copy and paste.

Spot the criminal and proceed to apprehend him, Upon doing so order them to face the wall before tieing said criminal with a standard issue ziptie (Make sure they give permission LOOCly or ICly and do not resist), Proceed to then get the citizen to apply if by chance they are an anticitizen it is then advise to call for backup if not then proceed to continue with the standard procedure, Look at their data and decide their punishment e.g Re education as well as editing their data with the required penalty points for their crime, If their crime is worthy of detainment proceed to bring them into detainment and make sure you wait with them their whole cycle, After the citizens detainment cycle is over order them to face the wall once again and hit them with your stunstick until they are knocked out before dragging the body and untying it, when the citizen wakes up they will be free to roam the city once again and attend their daily service to that of the union.





20. How does division ranking advancement work?

You start at an RCT before receiving training in the basics of being a civil protection officer and how to work at the best of your abilities, Upon doing so then choose your said division. The division advancement works so that you start at the rank of 05 before going through until you reach 01, upon reaching 01 you have the chance to start at the next tier (E.g Stinger<Spector) or become an OFC at your current tier, This tier system continues until you have gone through it four time, at which point you are practically the pinnacle of that specific division.



21. At which rank are you allowed to authorize Judgement Waivers?

Tier two and above you are allowed to authorise a ‘Judgement Waiver’.

Yes, I have used it many times before and have watched the video on the guide about using the tool.

Your character will be perma killed and you shall be de-whitelisted from the CCA.

Yes, I fully understand that as a unit I shall not argue with players about anything and if a problem arises I am expected to call an admin to assist



28. What should you do if you find yourself in a disagreement with other players?

Call an admin and await their arrival before continuing with rp.



29. What are your past experiences in the Metropolice Force?

I have had multiple experiences roleplaying as a civil protection officer on various different communities, for instance I was an i3 at the community known as Gridhive as well as Pickle Conflict which I was told I performed very well at,as well as having experience being high command on my own server (Crimson Gaming) and many other smaller communities, I have been roleplaying as a unit for almost a year on HL2RP and have had always had an interest in them since I first played Half-Life 2 when I was young.



30. Why should we accept your application?

I believe that because of my unique experience to the role as well as having been playing it for a dedicated and lengthy amount of time I am now experienced and both suited for the role as an MPF here at Vortex Gaming, as well as this I also promise to offer both my full dedication and utmost commitment to the rules as an MPF during my time on the server.



31. Why should we accept your application over other player's applications?

I believe my application should be accepted over some other players as I feel I have had a lot of previous experiences roleplaying as a unit which makes me suited for the role here as an MPF unit, Besides from this though I can also promise that I will /never/ under any circumstances decide to argue or break the rules on my unit or any other whitelist that I currently hold and any whitelists I receive hereafter.



32. What happens if you do not stay in-character, or try to mess-around and simply void it afterwards?

I can expect a player kill and/or a whitelist removal.



33. Do you tend to complain a lot?


No, I consider myself a ‘peaceful’ person and there are only a few rare occasions that I do complain.


34. Do you have any close friends who play on the server, that could recommend you?

Yes, I have a friend known as Webs (Now Darth Revan) who has been an officer on Gridhive also and now plays on this server as a unit, while being my only real friend I have had who also shares my desire for roleplaying. I believe he would recommend me due to seeing my previous experiences as role playing as a unit.



35. Can you passively roleplay, using detailed actions?

Yes I can indeed and I believe such a thing shall be proven below in a later question.


36. Do you have a basic knowledge and understanding of Half-Life 2 lore?

Yes I do and as a result I will say some random piece about Half-Life 2 lore

Overwatch are augmented, brainwashed super soldiers who serve the union until death, they have no way of free thought and must bow to the unions whim.

I am extremely active on the server since I found it and will be even more active with this position.



38. How well can you follow instructions?

I believe I can follow instruction efficiently and productively.



39. Do you plan on being a loyal player?

Yes, of course although I believe I am already becoming one due to the amount of enjoyment I have had on the server and the quality of the admins compared to that of other servers I have played on.

Unit 435: *Would proceed to look up from that of his illuminating datapad as he noticed that his stomach was grumbling ravishly, hungering for food with the now common growl, moving his uniformed hand to place on his stomach to comfort it he would stumble into that of the lunchroom, harshly flinging open the steel fridge door which responded with a bang as it collided with the wall, removing the M.R.E he would be unable to wait the brief time it took to sit at the table, proceeding to take off his faceplate clicking off the various hinges as it revealed that of a male with buzzcut hair and hungry pigmented brown eyes, the faceplate would then fall to the ground with a clatter as the man grabbed at the M.R.E with his uniformed hand, immediately tearing off that of the brown packaging that coated and protected the food from the elements, proceeding to then grab away at the food piggishly shoving it into his face for several minutes before that of the growl in his stomach was silenced, sighing he would proceed to pick up that of his faceplate, attaching it back onto his face before moving out of the lunchroom returning to his normal duties.*

Character Backstory: Jeffery Brasher, Jeffery Brasher was born in 1988, December the 13’th, Born and raised in America NY, Jeffery Brasher unlike most of the UMA lived a glorious childhood, everything was handed to him on a plate from a young age and if it weren't, a little tantrum to his parents would change that, making whatever he wanted his in no time. His life was what every little kid dreamed about and Brasher didn’t lie he, loved it, being served the finest food, given the finest clothes and only the best toys from the toy store was brilliant, however if there was one thing that wasn't great in his life was his grades, they were low, they were poor in almost everything, however showed excellent prowess in Science as well as Physical Education which made his job choice simple. When Brasher turned eighteen he left for University to study Medical Science and was allowed to do so on a Scholarship that he had earned from excellent football skills.

Brasher’s life at university wasn't all he had hoped for, sure he passed his medical studies with flying colors, however he unknowingly accepted a scholarship to a much poorer university, not researching much on it before taking the scholarship and thus was ridiculed by his peers for either being too posh or because they just didn’t appreciate how he was more fortunate than them. They bullied him in various ways, Mental, Physical as well as Cyber Bullying which later caused him to have a very unstable mind and his vision of right and wrong becoming blurred.


The day started like any other, he was sitting in his class listening to the teacher ramble on about things he already knew when suddenly, in the front row, a particular girl caught his eye. She was beautiful with Bright pure blue eyes and golden locks. He had heard she was an exchange student and was determined to get her, so after class he introduced himself to her however, with no luck. He stuttered and stumbled and the girl laughed before calling him a loser and walking away, this outraged Jeffery, he thought to himself how could he have been so stupid he had one chance and he blew it, No matter he thought he shall try again there is always another day, So the next day after class he would walk to her locker flowers in hand, Turning around the corner he would notice that Butch (One of the main kids that bullied him) was kissing her, Jeffery was furious, he couldn't believe that a girl like her had gone for a guy like him, he drove home as quickly as possible where he immediately shut himself in his room he stayed in there for several days, which caused him to miss several of his medical classes until on the fourth day, he had a plan, the best plan he ever thought of, he would kill Butch and all his problems would be gone.


It was the day of the party, everyone was talking about it, however Jeffery was not invited, not that it mattered, all that mattered was that Butch would be going and he would most likely bring the girl. That night the party began, hosted in the heart of New york at a club called ‘The Midnight Cruiser’. Jeffery had also purchased poison, that would make Butch feel sick for a number of hours before eventually dropping dead, which he had coated on the knife. All it took was a single scratch to take effect, Jeffery was planning to smuggle it inside his jacket. So the plan was in motion all he had to do was await the cover of darkness from the night sky.

Darkness fell and his plan was set in motion, the knife was concealed in his jacket and he was parked outside the club, he proceeded to hop out of his car before seeing that the club had a huge line, Jeffery decided he couldn't wait, he needed to get in NOW,  he skipped the line completely causing people to call him names and other such things before approaching the bouncer, the bouncer looked at him with a terrifying glare before saying “You aren’t on the list” This only angered him more as he was not invited to the party so in the heat of the moment he walked forward, Then turned around knife in hand behind the bouncer scratching him slightly with it, causing the bouncer immediately get sick and begin running away, spewing into the nearby porta loo which in turn, people seeing the bouncer was gone stormed into the club, Jeffery proceeded to find his target.

Inside the club it was like what a club was supposed to be, fun, parties and just all ‘round good times, Jeffery however was not there for any of these reasons, while he did long to be included with every else it did not matter. He was going to find his target, and he was going to kill him. He moved over to the bartender, a short Jamaican man,  and uttered the words “Have you seen butch” to him. The Jamaican replied, his voice covered with a thick accent “You talkin’ ‘bout the party host, Butch be in the private rooms mon”. Jeffery nodded, putting down thirty dollars on the table as a tip before again asking “Which one” the Jamaican man hesitated slightly before noticing the tip on the table and immediately spouting out the words “4A mon to your right down the corridor”. Jeffery then moved, as swift as a horse he approached the room 4A, kicking the door open he walked in, seeing bullies from university as well as many others. He walked over to a nearby couch, seeing Butch making out with the girl on his lap, this was the last straw, Jeffery walked directly over to them and raised the knife over his head and brought it down as hard as possible, however at the very last moment Butch had noticed Jeffery and had put the girl in front of the path of the knife. It was too late for Jeffery to stop it and the knife impaled her, instantly killing her. The music stopped. Everyone stared at him, not their usual ‘You are a weirdo stare’, No, it was something much different, it was the stare as if they were looking at an alien, a monster. Jeffery ran away in shock, knowing he had just killed the girl he loved. He ran and ran and ran only to be stopped by several bouncers outside, he looked at them each raising his fists preparing for a fight, only before a sharp pain hit the back of his head, knocking him out.


Several days later, Jeffery woke up with no recollection of what had happen the previous night, he looked at his surroundings. He was in a small room with no windows, though there were all the small essentials he would require, a toilet a bed and also a sink. He immediately stood up and looked around the room hoping for an escape. He attempt to bang against the thick steel door, that blocked his exit, yelling ”Let me out of here!” however it had no success. He cried, yelled and screamed for several days, he hated the small room with all he held dear to him and most of all, he hated Butch most of all, and he was determined to get his revenge. He  plotted again for days, etching things onto walls with the faucet of the sink tap that he had sharpened, although it wasn't very effective, it played its part. Then it happened, on the fourth day of his imprisonment, the hatch on the steel door opened up, the man looking in was wearing a blue uniform from what he could see as well as being Dark toned, Brown eyes and was bald. He peered into the room and said “Time to get up murderer, We aren't even going to give you a trial, it’s execution time” Brasher screamed again, as he was terrified. He didn’t want to die, he was afraid of dying but he didn’t have a choice. The Police Officer came in grabbing him via the arm and dragging him across the halls of the prison, he attempted to struggle but it was of no use, due to being heavily malnourished from no food from the four days of imprisonment. He was dragged through the halls of the prison, prisoners and all sorts of ther other weirdos screaming random things as he was dragged away to the execution room, he knew this was it he was going to die there was no way out, he thought about his life about how he had killed the one girl he liked, how Butch had used her as a human shield to prevent himself from dying and about how he had studied for nothing, also about his parents being majorly disappointed with what he had done. The five minutes it took the Police Officer to drag him through the prison seemed like hours in which he cried and cried and cried until he regained sense of what was happening, however at this point he was already sitting in an electric chair, the Police Officers preparing for his execution, he tried his hardest to get out of the chair however was strapped down, binds on his hands and feet unable to move, the executioner began speaking “Pulling switch in 3….2….” everything went black.

He awoke. He was dead. He’d had to have been dead. There was no other explanation for what had happened, And that’s when he heard the sound of rumbling, he was lying on a quite hard floor which felt as though it were metal of some kind, looking to his left and right he could see multiple seats with people sitting in them, he got up, looking around. He would asked the closest person, an African man, with a long untrimmed goatee and long hair, “Am I in heaven?”. The man chuckled quite loudly before replying with “No son, You are in hell” Jeffery looked up at him but only sighed. This is what he had expected after all, and so he sat down next to his fellow associates of hell and they proceeded on the train, awaiting their destination which was foreknown as hell, Jeffery waited for what seemed like hours fear, was no longer what seemed to be a factor in his life at the moment. He waited, preparing for the worst and finally, he arrived, the train rumbled to a stop. A strange man in a gasmask approached the men sitting in the cart <:: Move along::> He said and that is what exactly Jeffery did and finally the doors opened, his new life began.

The first few months in the city were alright for for Jeffery and for once he actually felt like he was home, no one ever gave him dirty looks as most of their attention was given towards the Civil Protection, and the fact they didn’t know what he had done, and he enjoyed it. Being somewhat excluded from others he set out to find some friends and he did indeed, people that were somewhat like him thought themselves better than others because they were ‘loyalists’ Jeffery had no idea what that meant but he didn’t care, what he did care about was that he finally had friends people that he could look out for, and those that could look out for him for once in his life, even though he felt malnourished and under maintained he felt at least mentally complete however, turns out that people didn’t really like Loyalists and within months most of them were dead or had quit, radding out on their fellow citizens. Jeffery was back to square one, and once again he felt horrible, he had nothing left, however during his time there he had noticed the units had always received better treatment.. better, well, everything. So he decided he wanted what they had, however he just didn’t know how he would go about it. One day, a poster bearing a tall strong unit holding a Union flag in the air with the words ‘A true citizen knows to serve for the benefactors’, gleaming above his head, and underneath him it read all the benefits one could receive from such a thing, better rations, warmer clothing and for once in his life he would be able to achieve what he always wanted - being able to boss at least someone around. Even if it was as a desolate world such as this one. And so the next day he submitted his application into the NEXUS dropbox and now he awaited a reply.

I am unsure of how I am supposed to be more 'detailed' due to the fact some of the answers really only require one word where I have gone to the best of my ability to try and make sentence, Nevertheless I shall attempt to increase it.

Sorry but it states that you shouldn't copy and paste stuff from the guide, and you did that with question 10. This is still a good and thought out app, but I thought MPF applications were closed.

I made this application before it said they were closed, and the only reason I copy pasted was because I would have been typing the exact same thing if I didn't copy paste or have just put the guns in different places, IMO it was completely justified but that is just me :p

Hmmm, I'm a bit mixed about this app. I understands he really wants to become MPF, but the apps just closed while it was being judged so we DON'T have new apps. You have worked hard, and you deserve my +Support but don't put in any major apps in the recent future.

I appreciate the support I am getting for this app, however I am 90% sure it was open when I applied as I made this app before darth revan made his and his was already accepted
