1. How long have you been on the server?
A little over a week now.


2. Do you know how to properly roleplay?
Yes I do, and I always try to improve with my roleplay skills.


3. Why do you want to play as a Vortigaunt?
I'd like to roleplay as a Vortigaunt because they are a different race, their culture and way of life is different from Earth's.
My main reason why I would like to roleplay as a Vortigaunt, is to improve my roleplaying skills by doing so as a different faction.


4. Have you read all of the application guidelines?
Yes I have.


5. What have you learned from the application guidelines?
That Vortigaunts have a ranking system, I can't use any abilities until I learn them from a rank Teacher or above and I can't powergame using my abilities.


6. Do you understand that as an enslaved vortigaunt, if you leave the city your bindings will explode, killing you in the process?
I understand.

7. Do you understand that you are not allowed to use the vortibeam tool unless you are a certain rank? And if you use it before that rank you are subject to ban?
Yes, I understand.

8. What rank are you allowed to use the vortibeam tool at?
Master.

9. Do you understand that you will not be able to powergame with your powers, and you will not be able to use them at all until you learn them from an elder or teacher?
Yes, I understand that I can't use my powers unless I learn them from an Elder or Teacher. I would in no circumstances ever "powergame" with anything, it is a rule not to powergame on this server and I will abide by it.


10. Give an example of Vortigaunt passive roleplay using the /me command.
/me Picks up mop and dunks it into a bucket filled with a cleaning solution.
/me Begins mopping the grime off the Nexus floors.
MPF Officer: Subservient Alien, do not forget to clean the Locker Rooms and Medical Bay before your shift ends.
Kur'dor: Weeee will do as you say.
MPF Officer: Good, now back to work!
/me Dunks the mop back into the bucket.
/me Resumes cleaning the Nexus floors.



CHARACTER INFORMATION:

Name: Kur'dor
Gender: Male

Character Backstory:
Kur'dor was born and raised on the Xen home planet, he was quite young when Black Mesa incident occurred. He and a numerous other of Vortigaunts had retreated to earth after the death of the Nihilanth through a portal.  Shortly after the Combine invaded Earth, Kur'dor and his older brother both ended up in City 17. Refusing to be slaves to the Combine, they both escaped into the Sewers where they hid until they had no food left and were malnourished, they were forced to find food. Kur'dor and his brother went topside to try to find food where they managed to find some food and leftovers. Soon they then encountered a Civil Protection unit who at the sight of the Vortigaunts tried to signal for backup, his brother who was much older than him tried to use his power to try and stop the Civil Protection unit from radioing in. He motioned for Kur'dor to retreat.  As Kur'dor was leaving he saw that the Civil Protection unit was injured but leaned over and shot his brother. Then emotions filled the Vortigaunt and so Kur'dor has had a strong grudge against the Combine since that day, he retreated to the sewers where he found a group of Humans...

What can I say? This application is excellent. It seems like you have some background knowledge of the lore itself as well.
